APPLICATIONS FOR
2024 ARE NOW
CLOSED.

walking WITH US IN 2024?
OPERATION noble watchman

For safety reasons, becoming a Walker for the 50 Mile March requires an application process. It is an extremely physically and mentally demanding endeavor. A limited number of Walkers will be allowed, as determined by the Organizers, and we will only select those who are committed to finishing the 50 miles in its entirety, as this is not a relay and or an opportunity to only walk a portion. There is no shame in choosing not to walk, and instead choosing to donate and be a cheerleader for the crew. Having a large community support system in place, both on social media and at the finish line, makes a world of a difference! Walking is a commitment of time to train, and to fundraise for a cause that you believe in.

STEP 1:

Understand the Commitment Required of all Walkers

Throughout the days, weeks, and months leading up to the March, Walkers are REQUIRED to participate in several mandatory steps and milestones, including but not limited to:

  • Commit to walking the entire 50 miles

  • Commit to raising a minimum of $2,500 by the end of the march

  • Complete application process

  • Participate in mandatory 4 Zoom Meetings

  • Successfully complete Qualification Standards

STEP 2:

Fill Out Application at Bottom of Page (NOW CLOSED)

STEP 3:

Follow the 50 Mile March Facebook page.

You’ll also receive an invitation to join our private Facebook page and the GroupMe app used to communicate with all applicants for the march. This is where we will disseminated important information about mandatory qualifying steps you must take. This page will also have a bit of fun! We will motivate each other and share photos and videos from past Marches as we kick things off!

step 4: qualification march

Due to safety reasons, we can only approve a limited number of Walkers. Additionally, it is very physically and mentally demanding so we must require successful completion of a Qualification March and rigorous physical activities (don’t worry - it’s not the full 50 miles!)

STEP 5: RAISE FUNDS

Each Walker must commit to fundraising a minimum of $2,500. This can be through funds you raise and/or your personal financial contribution. We will assist you in creating a Give Butter donation link that you can share on social media or with friends/family to raise funds in the weeks leading up to the March, as well as during the March.
